Hop on the bus for a Halloween treat.
Families are invited to trick-or-treat at the FAST Transit Center, where bus drivers and other employees will hand out candy on Halloween.
The Fayetteville Area System of Transit is hosting its first trick-or-treat for city residents from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31 at the FAST Transit Center, 505 Franklin St. Admission is free, according to a city news release.
Participants should obtain tickets at the registration table before boarding Halloween-decorated buses, where FAST employees will distribute candy, the release says.
Costumes are encouraged, and there will be raffles for prizes.

Entertainment will be provided by DJ G-Moniy of Foxy 99 radio, the release says.
For adults who are looking for a job, a table will be set up with information on FAST opportunities for CDL-B-licensed transit drivers that include a $1,000 sign-on bonus.
The city will follow Cumberland County’s schedule for trick-or-treating, which is from 6 to 8 p.m., the release says.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to accompany young children during Halloween activities.
