Fayetteville Hyperbarics, LLC is First in the Cape Fear Region to Offer Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy In Stand Alone Setting

Posted
Fayetteville, NC – Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a medical treatment which enhances the body’s natural healing process by inhalation of 100% oxygen in a total body chamber, where atmospheric pressure is increased and controlled. HBOT is well known for treating the bends in divers, but is fast becoming a rising star in traditional and alternative medical therapies.

HBOT is FDA approved for serious infections, radiation injury, and wounds that will not heal. Additionally, studies have shown HBOT to be effective in many of the internationally treated conditions such as Crohn’s Disease, Autism, Fibromyalgia, Lyme Disease, Sports Injuries, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Traumatic Brain Injury, and PTSD.

Dr. Paul Harch, a Diplomat of the American Board of Hyperbaric Medicine with over 25 years of Hyperbaric Medicine experience, announces that HBOT is a “promising treatment, utilizing scientific methods of precise dosage and protocol that may permanently curtail TBI and PTSD symptoms, returning veterans to a more normalized life.”

Dr. Harry Meyers, Medical Director for Baromedical Associates is a general surgeon with 27 years of Hyperbaric Medicine experience. Dr. Meyers states, “Recently, my own 16 year old daughter, a volley ball athlete, broke her wrist in a bike accident. Her orthopedic surgeon operated to place a pin in the bone and told us she would be in a cast for 6-8 weeks. Two days after surgery she began HBOT therapy for 1 hour a day. Four weeks later she was so improved that he removed the cast from her arm.”

Respiratory Therapists will provide HBOT services beginning March 1, 2013 at Fayetteville Hyperbarics, LLC. “We are very excited to bring HBOT to the general population in the Cape Fear Region,” says Dr. Robert Ferguson, Medical Director of Fayetteville Hyperbarics, LLC.

Open House is scheduled for February 22, 2013 at 2:00pm – 6:00pm.
