Fire damages mobile classroom behind E.E. Miller Elementary School

A fire Friday night damaged a mobile classroom behind E.E. Miller Elementary School, the Fayetteville Fire Department said.

The building is owned by Head Start and is not part of the Cumberland County Schools, a fire official said.

The Fayetteville Fire Department responded to the call shortly after 11:30 p.m. and found fire showing from a single-story structure at the rear of the school property off Rim Road, a release said. Fire crews were on the scene for about an hour and a half.

A damage estimate was not immediately available. The cause of the fire is believed to be unintentional, a fire official said.
