A satellite clinic for the Women, Infants and Children program opened this week on Fort Bragg, according to a Cumberland County news release.
The Fort Bragg Department of Public Health and the Cumberland County Department of Public Health held a ribbon-cutting for the clinic on Tuesday, the release said.
WIC serves low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, infants and children up to age 5 who are at nutritional risk, the release said. WIC provides nutritious foods to supplement diets; information on healthy eating, including breastfeeding promotion; and support and health care referrals.
The Fort Bragg WIC clinic is at the post’s Public Health Annex at 2122 Blackjack St.
