GivingTuesday is a global initiative with the goal of spreading generosity and giving back. Examples of giving back would be helping your neighbor, volunteering your time, or donating to a charity.
Cumberland County will be celebrating GivingTuesday starting Nov. 20 at 9 a.m. and ending on Nov. 29 at 5 p.m. with help from the Cumberland Community Foundation. They will be hosting a program that will amplify donors' gifts with a $550,000 match. This year, the GivingTuesday online catalog features 79 nonprofit organizations in Cumberland County, NC.
The online catalog will be announced at a later date.
