John Robert Campbell, 73, died Monday, May 1, 2023, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
John was born in Laurinburg, N.C., on March 4, 1950, the son to the late James Eady and Mary Clark. He made a living as a truck driver, tirelessly moving freight to keep America thriving. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Clark; a sister, Mary Louise Clark; and two stepdaughters, Loretta Malloy and Barbara McNeill.
He is survived by his son, Robert Faulkner, of Fayetteville, N.C.; his daughters, Michelle Faulkner and Lisa McPhaul, both of Fayetteville; his stepdaughter, Sofornia Faulkner of Fayetteville; his brothers, Weldon Clark of Georgia, Joseph Clark of Pennsylvania, and James Eady of California; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2023, at Crystal Springs Chapel located at 1400 Crystal Springs Road, Fayetteville, NC 28304. Pastor Lakeisha Yelverton will officiate the service.
