Retired MSGT Leonard Junior White, 83 of Spring Lake, NC, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, August 11, 2023.
Leonard was born in Norwood, NC on April 13, 1940. He joined the United States Army in 1962, he had two tours in Vietnam and was a Combat Engineer for most of his military career. He retired at Ft Bragg, NC from active duty in 1984 with 22 years of service.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Addie White. His wife of 57 years Eleanor E. White, two brothers, Johnny and Billy White, and sister Patricia Gallimore.
Leonard is survived by his children, Larry White, Robert White, and Angie White Riden, and sister; Eula Mae Rushing, 7 Grandchildren, and 6 great Grandchildren.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, August 16 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Adcock Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Adcock Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Dixon officiating. Interment will follow in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery on Fort Bragg NC.
