Man accused of having stolen ATVs, other property

A Hope Mills man is accused of having stolen ATVs, trailers and other items after a search of a property on Smokey Canyon Drive on Saturday, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said.

The Sheriff’s Office Property Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at 1716 Smokey Canyon Drive.

“Multiple stolen items were recovered during the search of the property,’’ the Sheriff’s Office said in a release.

The Sheriff’s Office seized two trailers, two ATVs, stolen license plates, military surplus, a stolen firearm and narcotics, the release said.

Justin Garrett Reynolds, 29, of Hope Mills, was arrested and charged with larceny, possession of stolen goods and three counts of possession of stolen property, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Reynolds is in the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $100,000 secure bond. His first appearance is scheduled for Monday at 2:30 pm at the detention center.
