Man charged with having gun on Pine Forest High School campus

A 20-year-old Fayetteville man has been charged with having a gun on campus Friday at Pine Forest High School, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputy V. Singletary, a school resource officer with the Sheriff’s Office, found an unloaded Ruger LCP .380 and two live rounds of ammunition in an individual’s backpack on campus, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The individual was inside the school, which is on Andrews Road, a spokeswoman for the Sheriff’s Office said.

Josefe Snow has been charged with possession of a firearm on educational property, altering or removing a gun serial number and carrying a concealed weapon, the Sheriff’s Office said. Snow is cooperating with the investigation.

He was booked into the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $10,000 secure bond. His first appearance is scheduled for Monday at 2:30 p.m. in the detention center.
