A man arrested Monday is charged with murder of an unborn child, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
Homicide detectives arrested James Junior McBryde, 32, according to a news release.
McBryde faces additional charges of three counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury; three counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill; six counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied property; and six counts of attempted first-degree murder, the release said.
McBryde was held at the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $3.1 million secured bond. His first appearance in court is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the jail.
