The driver of the vehicle fled from the scene of the accident but was later found and arrested, the release said.

The pedestrian, identified as 48-year-old Mark Sweatt, died from his injuries. His family has been notified, the news release said.

The driver of the vehicle fled the area on Skibo Road, police said.

With the use of video footage, officers located the suspect vehicle in the parking lot of Wal-Mart at 1550 Skibo Road. The driver, Amber Voight, 39, was taken into custody without incident, the release said.

Voight was charged with felony hit-and-run. She was held at the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $60,000 secured bond.
