A man was found dead on South Reilly Road on Monday night after a vehicle crash, according to the Fayetteville Police Department.
The victim was identified Tuesday as Luis Pizarro, 34, of Fayetteville.
South Reilly Road between Morganton Road and Riegelwood Street was closed about 8:30 p.m. because of the collision but reopened later Monday night.
The crash was reported about 7:15 p.m. Monday in the area of South Reilly Road and Great Rock Road.
Pizarro was pronounced deceased on scene, according to a news release.
The Police Department’s Traffic Unit is investigating the crash, the release said.
