The man riding a motorcycle who was killed Wednesday evening when he collided with another vehicle on Yadkin Road has been identified as a Fort Bragg soldier, according to the Fayetteville Police Department.

The crash was reported about 7:30 p.m. in the 5400 block of Yadkin Road, according to a news release.

Investigating officers found Cooper Wolfgram, 22, who was stationed on Fort Bragg, in the roadway. Wolfgram was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries, the release said.

Investigators say Wolfgram was driving a 2023 Kawasaki ZX636 motorcycle traveling south on Yadkin Road. Natalie Tager, 26, of Fayetteville, was driving a 2015 Dodge Ram pickup.

The preliminary investigation found that Tager was making a left turn from the parking lot of 5439 Yadkin Road onto Yadkin Road. Wolfgram was unable to stop in time and collided with the front of Tager’s pickup, the news release said.

Speed does appear to have been a factor, the release said.

Yadkin Road was closed temporarily from Santa Fe Drive to Brookfield Road, the release said.
