
Mr. Manuel Bautista Perez, 57, of Hope Mills, N.C., died Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at First Health Moore County, Pinehurst, surrounded by his family.
Manuel was born in Tamuning, Guam, to Norberto Pangelinan Perez and Maria Atoigue Bautista Perez. He was a facility supervisor at Fayetteville State University. Manuel was a man of many talents and interests to include fishing, boxing, football, baseball, rooster fighting, cars, off-roading, singing karaoke and playing guitar, baking Cassava cake, but above all, helping those that he loved.
Manuel is survived by his wife, Marisell (Maya) Jaipuddin Perez; daughters, Sharmayne Monique Perez Long and husband, Tyler Long, and Annabella Jaipuddin Perez; sons, Manuel Bautista Perez Jr. and wife, Garcia Vang Perez; Jared Royce Castillon Perez and wife, Tiffany Saeturn Perez; Steven Jaipuddin Perez; and Jayden Isaiah Jaipuddin Perez; sisters, Maria Elena Perez-Mendiola, Rita Ann Hagus, Concepcion Crisostomo Susuico, and Josephine Perez Catahay; brothers, Joaquin Bautista Perez, Roman Bautista Perez, Vincent Bautista Perez, Edward Bautista Perez, Manuel Bautista Perez (infancy), Jesse Bautista Perez, Joseph Bautista Perez, Francisco Bautista Crisostomo, John Munoz Perez, Antonio Bautista Crisostomo, and Norberto Pangelinan Perez Jr.; and five grandchildren, Kyleiah Perez, Kaleb Perez, Jaxson Long, Misha Long, and Jared Perez Jr.; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Hja, Nur-Aisa Jaipuddin and Jamiddin Jaipuddin.
A gathering of family and friends will be conducted from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, May 19, 2023, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.
