Margaret Colson Stevens passed away on December 29, 2022 in Fayetteville, N.C. She was born in New York City on April 25, 1927. Her early years were spent growing up in Wadesboro, N.C. She lived a grand life moving back to New York in her teens, later living in California and Sweden, traveling Europe, and then making her final home in Fayetteville.
In New York, she worked as an administrative assistant for Reynolds Metals Company. When she settled in Fayetteville she worked as an assistant to then-Mayor Beth Finch, later in administrative assistant positions at Public Works Commission and the Cumberland County Public Library System where she retired.
She is survived by her daughter Randa Dunn, granddaughter Cara Lynn Buie and husband Brett, all of Fayetteville, great-granddaughter Blake Buie of Wilmington, a brother Marle Carey Stevens and wife Janice of New Hampshire, along with 7 nieces and nephews.
