Marie Cato, 89, of Fayetteville went to be with the Lord on November 4, 2023. Marie was born in Jackson County, TN. She is the daughter of the late Tommy and Lola Sisco. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ottis Cato; two sons, Mark Goode and Raynard Cato. She was the oldest and last remaining of her 5 siblings. Marie was an entrepreneur who operated her own businesses from Thrift Shops to Bingo Halls. She had a passion for decorating, entertaining guests, cooking delicious meals, and keeping her house clean and tidy. In her later years, she enjoyed traveling to Vegas. She always looked forward to shopping and prided herself on dressing nicely. She especially enjoyed singing and listening to gospel music on her many family trips to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Marie was survived by 3 daughters, Janie Goode (Curtis House), Starr Ray (Harold Baker), and Tami Robinson (Todd); a son, Mike Cato (Andrea); 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on November 16, 2023 from 10:00am until 11:30am at Adcock Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 12:00pm at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.
