Good morning. Businesses in low-to-moderate income areas in Fayetteville could be eligible to receive up to $750,000 under a new city loan program designed to grow small businesses in economically disadvantaged areas.
The “Can Do Grant Program” aims to address funding inequities by providing capital to businesses that are often overlooked or underserved by traditional financial institutions, said Fayetteville Cumberland Economic Development Corporation President Robert Van Geons. Read our story below for the list of requirements for interested businesses.
Welcome to CityView Today. We also recap yesterday’s meeting of the Public Works Commission — a recent rate increase has boosted PWC’s first quarter sales revenue for its electricity, water and sewer service (over $60.6 million vs. nearly $60.2 million this time last year). And in case you missed it: the City of Fayetteville is hosting another public feedback session today to update its Pedestrian Plan. More below on how to attend.
