Good morning. The candidate filing period for the 2026 election ended Friday. So, who’s running for what in Cumberland County?

Thirteen candidates want to nab two at-large seats and two District 1 seats on the Board of Commissioners. Three Democrats and one Republican are challenging Sheriff Johnathan Morgan. And District Attorney Billy West is running unopposed. Read more in today’s lead story.
