Several of the votes, including ones to move forward on closing Manchester Elementary School, Anne Chesnutt Middle School, and Reid Ross Classical Schools, were narrowly approved.

And public comments during city council meetings will be seeing a change—the council voted on Monday to limit public comments to a new monthly standalone meeting instead of during regular meetings.
