North Carolina’s Top Six Skilled Nursing Facility Staff Honored

North Carolina Health Care Facilities Association Recognizes Excellence in Long Term Care

Greensboro, February 12, 2013; In February, the North Carolina Health Care Facilities Association will recognize this year’s outstanding front-line staff working in skilled nursing facilities across North Carolina. Providers, vendors, and community representatives will unite to recognize excellence in long term care. North Carolinas top six front-line staff will be honored at a special awards celebration during the 2013 NCHCFA Annual Convention & Expo held at the Sheraton Greensboro Hotel at Four Seasons/Joseph S. Koury Convention Center. The 2013 award recipients are:

  • District I Nurse Aide of the Year – Jamie Greene – Elderberry Health Care
  • District II Nurse Aide of the Year – Shelia Dalton – Sardis Oaks
  • District III Nurse Aide of the Year – Johnnetta McKeithan – Peak Resources/Treyburn
  • District IV Nurse Aide of the Year – Mike Wilson – Highland House Rehab & Healthcare
  • District V Nurse Aide of the Year – Corey Fields – Heritage Healthcare of Farmville
  • Riley W. Clapp Outstanding Service Award – Liddie Howard – Peak Resources/Alamance
This time honored event is an important part of long term care community’s effort to recognize the valuable contributions of front-line staff to the quality of care and quality of life in individuals living in skilled nursing facilities. Winners were nominated by their colleagues for this special award.

Of the five nurse aide winners, one will be selected for the ninth annual J.R. Garret Direct Care Worker of the Year Award for the exceptional service he or she provides to long term care patients.
