No one was injured when a Cumberland County Schools bus was involved in a two-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon at the corner of Morganton Road and Devane Street, a school official said.
The crash happened around 3:25 p.m., said Lindsay Whitley, a spokesman for the school system.
“There were four students on the bus,” he said. “It was a car that hit the bus on the left-front driver’s side. No students or staff were hurt. We were able to go ahead and get those students home safely.”
The other vehicle involved was a Toyota RAV4, he said.
No one at the scene, including police officers, was willing to talk to a reporter.
Officer Jeremy Strickland, a spokesman for the Police Department, said early Wednesday evening that he did not have information on the accident.
No other details were immediately available.
