The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Friday night shooting that left one man dead.
Don Antonio Flournoy, 58, of Fayetteville, died in the shooting that happened near the 2400 block of Elcar Drive, the Sheriff’s Office said in a release Saturday.
Homicide detectives are trying to locate two people they say may have information about the shooting. Detectives want to talk with Zachary Maurice Richardson, 34, of Fayetteville, and Brittany Lynn Moore, 32, of Hope Mills.
Just before 8 p.m. Friday, deputies responded to a shooting near the 2400 block of Elcar Drive, the Sheriff’s Office said in a release.
Flournoy had a gunshot wound and was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, the release said.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
