Pandemic doesn't deter Fayetteville Shrine Club members' generosity

It would be tough to find a group of guys with bigger hearts than those in the Fayetteville Shrine Club, who are always looking for ways to help children. Most recently, members drove to Dunn to deliver a van they donated to help transport children and their families to and from the hospital. The club purchased the van from Lafayette Ford, then had it decorated in bright, happy colors and figures of smiling children. Members raised the money for the van in part from their annual golf tournament, though the tournament was cancelled this year due to the coronavirus. “We haven’t been able to meet since March,” club treasurer Kenny Godwin said. No matter, the pandemic hasn’t been able to put a stop to their good deeds.
