The Child Advocacy Center hosted its own Pinwheel Garden planting on April 4th at noon in honor of the 773 children served by the center in fiscal year 2016.
The pinwheels "planted" around town in Cumberland County are in honor of April as Child Abuse Prevention Month.
The pinwheel serves as a reminder of a happy, safe and carefree childhood, one that every child deserves.
The Child Advocacy Center (CAC) coordinated with area schools, businesses, agencies and individuals to sponsor the “gardens”, and this year the number of pinwheels will top 10,000!
This is the seventh year that the CAC has coordinated the campaign in Cumberland County.
Pinwheel garden kits are available for purchase, until sold out, on the CAC’s website: www.CACFayNC.org.
The pinwheels will remain on display throughout the month of April.
