Police: ‘Confrontation’ between motorcycle gangs led to deadly shooting outside Fayetteville hotel

A “confrontation’’ between four motorcycle gangs led to a shooting outside an Owen Drive hotel on Saturday night that injured six people - three fatally, the Fayetteville Police Department said.

Police said the shooting occurred during a “confrontation’’ between members of the Hells Angels, the Red Devils, the Infamous Ryders and the La Familia motorcycle gangs.

Detectives are trying to locate witnesses to the shooting, which was reported just before 9 p.m. in the parking lot of the Baymont Ramada.

Police said detectives also are reviewing private security camera footage, license plate reader data and city-owned cameras.

William Franklin Davis Sr., 42, of Fayetteville, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Keith Allan Dickey, 37, of Lumber Bridge, and Donald Dillenbeck, 49, of Vestal, New York, died later at the hospital, police said.

Of the three others who were shot, one of them was seriously injured, police said. Their names have not been released.
