Public invited to 2 concerts at FTCC

Fayetteville Technical Community College is having two concerts this week that are open to the public.

Both concerts will be in FTCC's Cumberland Hall Auditorium. Admission is free.

The first concert is tonight at 7. The FTCC Music Department will hold its fall concert. The concert will feature the FTCC Chorus, the FTCC Contemporary Ensemble and FTCC student soloists, the school said in a release

The second concert is at 7 p.m. Thursday. The FTCC Music Department will present a concert featuring guest artist Charly Lowry, accompanied by the FTCC Contemporary Music Ensemble.

Lowry is a professional musician from Pembroke and a member of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina. She has performed extensively since 2004 when she was a semi-finalist on "American Idol." the release said.

Cumberland Hall Auditorium is at 2211 Hull Road.
