Fayetteville PWC will host the Power & Water Conservation Expo on Friday downtown, giving residents the opportunity to speak face to face with utility representatives and experts.

The expo is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at SkyView on Hay, 121 Hay St.

“It’s our Fourth Friday event downtown,” PWC General Manager and CEO Elaina Ball said during the board’s monthly meeting on Wednesday. “We encourage all our team members to sign up for volunteer spots and any of our customers to stop by for tips.

The expo will include giveaways.

It is the first in-person Power & Water Conservation Expo since the outbreak of COVID-19, Ball said.

“I look forward to that on Friday,” she added.

The expo is open to the public, and admission is free.

Public Works Commission says the expo will help customers save on utility bills with advice from experts on hand and demonstrations. Customer-service representatives, incentive program specialists and line workers will attend.

The utility’s watersheds staff will be available to explain how drinking water quality is protected.

Customers can also learn about PWC’s newest “power tool” – its online Energy Resource Center – which helps monitor and manage energy use to reduce consumption.

Residents can also learn about job opportunities with Fayetteville PWC.
