Reeves School of Business Symposium & Awards Dinner

Posted

The Reeves School of Business (RSB) at Methodist University hosted its Third Annual Reeves School of Business Symposium and Awards Dinner, formerly known as the Annual Economic Outlook and Stock Market Symposium, which has been a longstanding tradition in southeastern North Carolina.

The Reeves School of Business and Methodist University continue to evolve and build upon on our reputation of excellence.  In our pursuit of continual quality improvement we have recently made some organizational changes that more effectively and efficiently align our resources.  We have consolidated the Center for Entrepreneurship's Fall Symposium and Spring Entrepreneurial Leadership Summit into one Fall Reeves School of Business Symposium and Awards Dinner.

The keynote speaker for the event was Charlie Brock. He spoke on "transforming cities through innovation and leadership".

Charlie Brock has been CEO of Launch Tennessee since January, 2013 and has been a serial entrepreneur for nearly 20 years.

Formerly part of the $100M, family-owned Brock Candy, Charlie is recognized as a shining star in Southeastern entrepreneurship and ecosystem development. His was among the visions driving the transformation of Chattanooga, aka “the Gig City,” from a sleepy, polluted southern river town into a leading hotbed for innovation (which now enjoys the country’s fastest internet and smartest electric grid).  Early-stage investment in Tennessee has increased 100% during Charlie’s leadership of Tennessee’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
