Posted

The Cumberland County Board of Elections needs voters who are registered as Republicans or unaffiliated to serve as precinct workers for the May 17 primary.

Workers are needed for all 75 polling sites, said Angie Amaro, interim director of the county Board of Elections.

Voters who are registered as Democrat, Republican or unaffiliated are needed to serve as poll workers in the Beaver Dam, Cedar Creek, Judson-Vander and Black River precincts, Amaro said in a release.

Training for poll workers starts in late March. Poll workers are paid $25 for training and $130 for election day, which starts at 5:30 a.m. on May 17, the release said.
