Ret. MSGT Dale L. Pruitt, 65, of Fayetteville went home to be with the Lord on August 24, 2022 while surrounded by his family.
Dale was born in Maryland on January 30, 1957 to the late Jules and Mary Mathas Pruitt. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sharon Morrison Pruitt; children, William Baker, Stacey Pruitt, Wesley Reece, Bobby Pruitt; 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Dale was a dedicated service man who loved a good challenge. He served in Desert Storm and was one the few who mechanics who was certified to approach the presidents plane. He could fix nearly any engine, most of the time by simply standing next to it and listening. Dale loved learning and knowledge and loved to challenge himself. He loved to play cards and gamble and anything that required a good logical thinker. He enjoyed sitting by the ocean and listening to the waves crash and was a Star-Trek fanatic. He had a witty sense of humor and tons of brilliant one-liners.
