
Rita Faye (Bishop) Barnett was born October 12th, 1965 from the union of Arthur Lee Bishop and Irene (Bryant) Bishop.
Rita grew up in Kentucky and was the oldest of seven children. During her life she met and married James Barnett. Rita was of the Baptist faith and believed in prayer and healing. Rita enjoyed shopping, Farkle on Facebook, crocheting, spending time with her family and cooking. She was known for her incredible meatloaf.
Left to cherish her sweet memory are her children Devon & (Amanda) Bishop, David Long, Travis Long, Brandon Sherrill, April Sherrill, mother Irene Bishop, sisters Pamela Gadd , Hazel Downs, Paula & (Bob)Smith, and Hope Bishop. As well as her brothers, Mike & (Vickie) Bishop and Shannon Bishop. Her life long partner, Gary Dicks, all her loving grandchildren, Courtney, Brittney, Joseph, Jordan, Isaiah, Jason,and Akira; and her first great grandchild Kaylah. She also leaves several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Rita was preceeded in death by her daughter, Amanda Long, her late husband James Barnett, and her father Arthur Bishop.
Cremation has taken place with a memorial service to be scheduled at a later date.
