Self-Reliance Fair

Posted

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3200 Scotty Hill Road, is scheduled to host a Self-Reliance Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 18. This event is free to attend.

The fair will offer a variety of classes and demonstrations on topics such as vegetable gardening, emergency preparedness, CPR, food storage, resume writing, and more. Participants will learn practical skills and tips from experts such as the NC Extension Service, the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), and the Red Cross.

The fair is open to people of all ages and backgrounds who want to improve their self-reliance and resilience in different aspects of life. Whether you want to grow your own food, prepare for disasters, save money, or find a new job, you will find something valuable and exciting at the fair.

The event is part of the church’s ongoing efforts to promote self-reliance among its members and the community. The church believes self-reliance helps people become more confident, independent, and happy.
