Sherry Lee Loar, 76, of Fayetteville went home to be with her Lord on September 10, 2022 at Whispering Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Sherry is survived by her husband of 43 years, Robert Loar; sons, Billy Murphy and his wife Sandy, and Roger Murphy; one grandchild, Samantha Murphy; sisters-in-law, Diana Cutter and Debby Donahue and brother-in-law, Gary Loar and his wife Debbie and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Sherry was born on April 18, 1946 in Seoul, Korea. She was a strong and dedicated Christian who loved the Lord and was in constant prayer for her friends and family. She loved growing flowers and vegetables and spent many hours working in her garden. Sherry loved to fish and always seemed to be able to catch anything at any time, even if no one around her was having any luck. She knew the Word of the Lord and could tell you anything you needed to know about the Bible, and was a member of both the Korean Church and New Hope Baptist Church in Spring Lake. She was a devoted wife and mother and loved her family.
