Spaghetti dinners, Greek pastries on sale Wednesday at Fayetteville church

Posted

It’s time again for the World’s Largest Spaghetti Dinner & Greek Pastry Sale.

Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church will host its 63rd annual sale from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hellenic Center, 614 Oakridge Ave.

Spaghetti dinners are $10 each.

Organizers say it takes 4,000 pounds of dry spaghetti, 900 gallons of tomato sauce, and more than 100 volunteers to sponsor the fundraiser.

Dinners may be picked up at the church center. For more information or to order a dinner, visit the Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church website or call the Hellenic Center at 910-484-8925.

Pastries will be sold at the Hellenic Center. Treats available will include baklava, kataifi, galaktoboureko, finikia, kourambethes, kokakia, and almond horns. A pastry combo is $12.

New to the sale are diples, a traditional Greek dessert of light fried dough dipped in honey. An order of two pieces is $6, while supplies last.

Delivery is available for orders of 50 or more spaghetti dinners. Call the Hellenic Center for more information.
