One person was seriously injured in a house fire Sunday morning, the Fayetteville Fire Department said.
The Fire Department responded to a reported house fire at 9:15 a.m. on the 100 block of Wall Street.
When units arrived, firefighters saw “a heavy volume of fire’’ visible from the single-story structure.
One person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, the Fire Department said. No other information was immediately available.
Damage was estimated at $40,000.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
