Day Resource Center sees success under new management and name
In its first two quarters managing Fayetteville Cares, the rebranded name for the Day Resource Center, the Manna Dream Center has seen increased usage across its services and the number of service provider partners at the center.
City picks Manna Dream Center to run Day Resource Center
Fayetteville has selected the Manna Dream Center , a local nonprofit organization and church, to operate the city’s Day Resource Center (DRC) for a year starting July 1.
For Manna Church, community is key
In the past, 62-year-old Walter Green made his bed under the Person Street bridge and by a dumpster next to a Bragg Boulevard pizzeria. A native of Rome, New York, Green is a former resident of the now-defunct HOPE Center on Person Street, which has since been transformed into the Manna Dream Center men’s shelter.
