To mark the 200th anniversary of the Marquis de Lafayette’s tour of the country, cities across America have been commemorating with “living history” events. Fayetteville’s celebration is March 4-5.
“Camp Lafayette”
“Camp Lafayette,” hosted by The Lafayette Society of Fayetteville, took place on Sept. 10 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in Cross Creek Park. The event celebrates the birthday of Fayetteville’s namesake, the Marquis de Lafayette.
