Thomas “Tom” Alexander Robinson was born in Silen City, North Carolina, on September 27, 1946, to Edgar Alexander Robinson and Evelyn Scott Robinson. He passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, October 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sandra Robinson. He is survived by his devoted wife of 29 years, Jackie Slaughter Robinson; his sons Adam White, Alex Hilliard (Jamie), and Eddie Robinson (Misty); his daughter Michelle Manor (Chris); eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother-in-law John Slaughter (Tammie); sister-in-law Rebecca Jean Slaughter of Laurinburg, NC; and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

Tom enjoyed reading and began each day with his father’s Bible. He loved the Lord with all his heart. He also loved playing golf, watching NASCAR races, spending time at the beach, and traveling with his wife and family.

After high school, Tom began his career in the grocery business. He quickly advanced after joining Food Town (now Food Lion). His honesty, integrity, and fairness made him a respected and well-loved leader. As a district manager with Food Lion, he mentored many store managers who went on to become district managers themselves, each crediting Tom’s leadership and guidance for their success. He took great pride in their accomplishments and cherished the friendships he built along the way.

Tom will be remembered for his faith, his kindness, and the love he shared with his family, friends, and colleagues.
