Two injured in mobile home fire Thursday

The Fayetteville Fire Department is investigating a mobile home fire Thursday that injured two people.

The fire was reported around 6:45 p.m. on the 400 block of Andy Street.

When firefighters arrived they found a single-wide mobile home with “heavy fire visible,’’ the Fire Department said in a release.

Three adult occupants were outside when fire crews arrived. Two of them were evaluated at the scene before being taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injures, the release said.

The American Red Cross was asked to provide assistance.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
