Wanda Lee Christian, 63, of Fayetteville, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Wanda was born on September 28, 1962, in Robeson County to the late Lonnie Lee and Mary Lois Prevatte Lee. She was a graduate of Douglas Byrd High School and dedicated much of her life to caring for children through her work with Prime Time After School Care. Wanda also served as a Girl Scout Leader and had a special love for arts and crafts, sharing her creativity and warmth with everyone around her.
Above all else, Wanda cherished her family. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, nana, and friend whose kindness and devotion touched many lives.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Wayne Christian; her son, Wayne Christian, Jr. and wife Chasity; her daughter, Angel Christian and spouse Jody; sisters, Carolyn Milton and Wilma Glasgow and husband Tim; brother, Terry David and wife Brittany; and her beloved grandchildren, Aubrie Arthur, Parker Bowers, Athia Mozingo, Payton Christian, and Waylon Christian.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Praise Fellowship Church of God from 1:00 to 1:50 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service at 2:00 p.m. A private family burial will be held on Monday.
