illiam “Bill” Pearsall West, 86, of Bunnlevel went home to be with the Lord on January 16, 2023.
Bill was born on July 13, 1936 in Harnett County to the late William Pearsall West, Sr. and Alice Stewart West. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Judy West.
Bill leaves cherished memories with his children, Jonathan West (Cindi), Billy Charles West (Patty), and Timmy Johnson; brother, Gerald West; sister, Brenda Stevens; grandchildren, Jacklyn Marie Watier (John), Dean West (Darlene), Jason West (Brandy), David West, and Hamilton Johnson; five great-grandchildren and many family members and friends.
Bill was a kind and generous man who dedicated his life to preserving community and family values. He spent 25 years in the Harnett County Public Education system where he taught carpentry. Bill loved to be on a tractor and growing his vegetable garden. He loved to give away everything he grew and tell old stories and history about the community. Bill loved to talk and see people, but above all, Bill was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend.

There will be a visitation for family and friends on Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 10:00AM until 12:00PM. A service honoring Bill’s life, with Pastor J. D. Tew officiating, will be held immediately after the visitation beginning at 12:00PM. Burial will follow the service at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Spring Lake.
