A woman who was found dead in a home on Kentyre Drive was killed by her domestic partner, who was later found dead by apparent suicide in Southern Pines, according to the Fayetteville Police Department.
The woman's death was reported just after 10 p.m. Thursday in the 3200 block of Kentyre Drive, according to a news release.
Officers found the woman’s body on a couch in the residence. She was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release.
She was identified as Jessica Moore, 35.
The man was found dead in a vehicle in Southern Pines by that town's Police Department. He was identified as Tito Matos, 37. His death is being investigated as a suicide.
The preliminary investigation indicates that Moore and Matos were in a domestic relationship at the time of their deaths, the news release said.
