Nearly four months after eliminating 200 jobs, including 158 open positions, Cape Fear Valley Health on Thursday announced that it will host several hiring information sessions beginning Saturday.

Potential applicants can find more information and register in advance at Cape Fear Valley Health’s careers web page.

The schedule includes:

  • Noon-2 p.m. Saturday, Rehabilitation Auditorium, 1638 Owen Drive. The Coordination of Care team is seeking registered nurse case managers, social workers and discharge planners. The caregivers and administrative professionals could receive as much as $20,000 in sign-on bonuses for select positions according to a news release.
  • Noon-4 p.m. Feb. 28, Betsy Johnson Hospital cafeteria, 800 Tilghman Drive, Dunn. Job openings are for registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and nursing assistants. Some jobs offer as much as a $20,000 sign-on bonus.
  • 2-5 p.m. March 3, Rehabilitation Auditorium, 1638 Owen Drive. Lab and radiology jobs for Harnett Health and Cape Fear Valley Health are open. Recent graduates and experienced technologists are sought for positions in X-ray technology, computed tomography technology; nuclear medicine technology; MRI technology; and ultrasound technology. Signing bonuses for as much as $10,000 are offered, along with relocation assistance.

The job eliminations announced in October included 42 โ€œnon-direct patient care positionsโ€ across the health system, the health system said. Cape Fear Valley Medical Center was hit hardest with 35 layoffs, Cape Fear officials said.
