Bertha Mae Lockerman, 96, passed away on December 30, 2022.
Bertha is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Lockerman; son, Dewey V. Carter; grandson, Dewey D. Carter; sisters, Mildred Thomas, and Madeline Barefoot; and her brothers, Lemon Hair, Frank Hair, James Hair, and Cleo Hair. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Kenneth Carter and wife, Estelle of Linden, NC; grandsons, KC Carter, and Del Carter both of Fayetteville, NC; and sister, Joyce Hair of Linden, NC.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 1:45 PM on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM with Brother Larry Chason officiating. Burial to follow the service at Lafayette Memorial Park.
