The CSX Corporation will temporarily close multiple railroad crossings in the downtown Fayetteville area starting Feb. 10 in order to conduct routine railroad maintenance.
The track closures will last approximately three to five days. Residents should expect to encounter delays and prepare for a longer commute.
The following roads will be impacted:
- Cumberland Street and Moore Street are set to close on or around Feb. 10.
- Franklin Street and Russell Street are set to close on or around Feb. 11.
- Whitfield Street is set to close on or around Feb. 12.
- South of Winslow Street, between Hay Street and Rankin Street, will be closed on or around Feb. 12-13 for maintenance materials.
Hay Street and Blount Street will remain open for travelers entering and exiting the downtown area. Detour signs will direct traffic around the closures.
