Albert Richard Kozusko Junior, a cherished resident of Fayetteville, North Carolina, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 29th.
Albert’s life was firmly rooted in his faith. A graduate of the Calvary Institute of Biblical Studies in Zanesville, Ohio, he was a devoted member of Northview Baptist Church in Fayetteville. He dedicated himself to the study of God’s Word and lived as a testament to the grace he found in Christ. His favorite scripture, John 3:16—“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”—served as the guiding light for his life and a steady source of hope for his family.
Professionally, Albert was a dedicated over-the-road truck driver. Throughout his career, he saw most of the United States from behind the wheel, truly enjoying the freedom of the road and the many different sights he encountered along the way. When he wasn’t traveling the country, Albert was at home indulging in his legendary love for coffee. He took his brew seriously, often preparing his first cup at 3:00 in the morning to the “great delight” of the rest of the household.
He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Kozusko Senior; his mother, Florence Kozusko; his sister, Carol; and his brother, James.
Albert is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Ruth E. Kozusko; his sons, Albert Richard Kozusko III, Alan Robert Kozusko, and Alic Rockwell Kozusko; his daughter, Alicia Ruth Kozusko; and his grandson, Albert Richard Kozusko IV. To his family, he was a source of wisdom, humor, and strength.
A celebration of Albert’s life and faith will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Northview Baptist Church in Fayetteville. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral at the church from 2 to 3 pm. Burial will take place at Kozusko Family Cemetery in Ridgeway, SC. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in his memory to Northview Baptist Church.
Albert has completed his final route and is now safely home, resting in the eternal peace of his Savior.
