The class of 2024 began their high school journey in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. In a time of uncertainty and rapid change, these students overcame new obstacles, exercised resilience, and made strides in both their academics and as student leaders.

Hope Mills board passes $18.4M budget, implements 5-cent property tax hike
The Hope Mills Board of Commissioners voted 3-1 on Monday to approve the town’s proposed $18.4 million budget for the 2024-25 fiscal year — including a 5-cent property tax increase — and discussed the ongoing issue of the removal of school resource officers (SROs) and crossing guards from Cumberland County Schools.
