The class of 2024 began their high school journey in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. In a time of uncertainty and rapid change, these students overcame new obstacles, exercised resilience, and made strides in both their academics and as student leaders.

Cumberland County Schools Standout Seniors, an annual campaign that began in 2019, highlights the accomplishments of high school seniors within the Cumberland County School system. The highlighted students, selected from each of the Cumberland County high schools, exemplify the values and goals of their respective classes, and of the school system itself. The class of 2024, a cohort that experienced much of their freshman year virtually, faced unique challenges and adapted to fundamental changes in education during their high school careers.

The 2024 Standout Seniors project, “We Are CCS: Ready for a Career, College, and Life,” introduces the class of 2024 and highlights the creativity, adaptability, and excellence in academics and leadership that are hallmarks of this cohort. Through detailed video recaps of their academic journeys, these students highlight their successes, and where these successes will lead them after graduation, from military enlistment to the Ivy Leagues and beyond.
