Mildred Jones Guy, 96, of Fayetteville ,passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023. Born in Nash County on Nov. 2, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Leroy Jones and Rella Strickland Jones.

Albert “Ted” Theodore Rose, 42, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023. Albert was preceded in death by his father, John James Rose. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Rose; mother, Susan Wilkinson and husband, Don; brother, James P. Rose and wife, Virginia; brother, Malcom Rose; and sister, Kiley Rose.

Maria Eugenia Diaz was born on June 3, 1948, in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico, to the late Marcos Rivera and Sara Rivera.  She moved to New York in the early 1970s and then moved to Lawrence, Massachusetts, where she resided for over 45 years.  She entered rest on February 12, 2023, at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville N.C., surrounded by family and friends

Nancy Louise Paul passed away on February 26, 2023. She was preceded in death by her son, Greg Paul. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Henry Paul of Fayetteville.

June Trellie Suedbeck, 87, passed away on January 30, 2023. Mrs. Suedbeck is survived by her husband, John Suedbeck; two sons, Freddy Suedbeck and wife, Vicky of Yorktown, VA, and John Suedbeck and wife, Dorothy of Greenville, NC.

Retired Col. Ronald Martin Calvert, 75, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023, at home surrounded by his family.  Ron was born in Owensboro, Kentucky, on October 15, 1947, to the late Houston Clayton Calvert and Rurie Myrlene Evans.

Gertrude Cacilie Vencill, age 87, passed away on February 23, 2023. Gertrude was preceded in death by her husband, Austin G. Vencill; father, Johann Ludwig Neller; mother, Barbara Angela Neller; stepmother, Anna Muller Neller; and grandson, Samuel Ishmael.

Mr. Bobby Glynn Cooper, 89, of Salemburg, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus while surrounded by family on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.

Rebecca (Becky) Sides Riddle was born on September 4, 1944, to Eldridge Sides and Rachel Earnhardt in Albemarle, North Carolina. On February 22, 2023, she entered the gates of heaven, reuniting with her parents and sister, Carolyn. 

It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our sweet Caroline Tobi Cole of Knoxville, TN. She gained her angel wings on December 22, 2022. Caroline was born in Denver, Colorado, on March 26, 1998.
