Charles never met a stranger; he was known by many people, each with their own cherished memory of him. To some, he was a banker who helped make dreams come true. To others, he was a tennis partner who kept them active and on their toes. Many knew him as an optimist who always saw the best in every situation. Yet, regardless of how they knew him, everyone who knew Charles shared one thing in common: they knew him as a friend and a steadfast supporter of the values and aspirations we hold most dear.

He will be sorely missed, but cherished in our hearts forever.

May his memory be eternal.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Building Project Campaign by Panagia Prousiotissa Greek Orthodox Monastery, located in Troy, North Carolina . This monastery is not only the patron monastery of the family, but also the monastery where Charles’ son, Father Theodore, was first ordained a deacon at in 2008, a calling of his that was inspired by not only his dreams, but also his father’s Christian virtues.
